Sunday, September 25th, 2011

After several months of hard work and fun, we are about to release Pulitzer, PULITZER[1]. Play and Learn English,  a Facebook-based social game that helps you learn English the fun way.  There is also a web based version of the game for those that will not use FB.

In the game, Joe Pulitzer is a journalist working for a news agency called Amazing News. Pulitzer has to travel around the world to obtain as much information as possible to publish his articles. The protagonist needs to complete successfully grammar exercises, maintain several dialogues and solve questions and enigmas in order to travel to the next city or stage.

Have a look at this video below to see the game in action. But let’s Show, don’t tell:

Eduardo Valencia. January 2010

My name is Eduardo Valencia. I am the CEO at Marque (www.marque.es) a Spain based firm that shares my passion about Innovation at the Internet Communication and Marketing.

English is not my first language. It comes only third after Spanish and Basque. I am sure that my not being a native speaker shows. Sorry for my mistakes. English may be tricky sometimes.

I have been professionally involved in hundreds of Internet related projects since 1995, when I left my easy life as a Lexicographer for Euskaltzaindia (Royal Academy of the Basque Language) to become an Internet Entrepreneur.

Along with Marque, I am the also the CEO at Elea (www.eleaweb.com) a small  firm that innovates at projects that blend Linguistics (mostly Basque) and digital technologies.

Marque also owns a brand called DOT (www.dot-secondlife.es), who develops virtual worlds for enterprises.

This is not my first post, actually. I have already posted on the Dot blog (English: http://www.dot-secondlife.es/english/blog/ and spanish http://www.dot-secondlife.es/blog/) and the Marque Blog (only spanish http://www.marque.es/blog/).

This blog will certainly post about my professional passion for innovation at the Internet. Nowadays it includes subjects such as Social Media, Augmented Reality, Virtual Worlds, Smart Phone applications, Location Based Systems (foursquare and the like).

I certainly encourage comments on the blog.  You can also contact me by mail (eduardo at marque.es). I also tweet on a daily basis (@eduardovalencia). I would love to connect through any of the social channels I am on: Linkedin, Facebook, Youtube, Delicious, etc.
